Prom is coming up quickly.
Prom is set for Saturday, May 20th at the Bartlett Country
Club. Tickets will go on sale, Monday, May 1st and be sold for two
weeks only. You must purchase your tickets by Friday, May 12. No
tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets are $40 a person or $80 a
couple. Tickets will be sold during lunch periods in Mrs. Welty’s room-
if she is not in her room, she is in the computer lab. Just a reminder-Prom
is for juniors and seniors only. Make sure to get your tickets

Attention students in grades 7-10,
you will be eligible for the International Club trip in 2019. There will be
an interest meeting for students on April 27 during period x in the HS
Auditorium. If you would like to learn more about traveling with the
International Club, you are welcome to attend. See Ms. Nolder in 204 for details.

All Drama Club members need to stop
in Mrs. Maxson’s room this week to pick up your form for the Theatre
Banquet. They must be filled out and
returned by May 11th.
Last night the varsity baseball team
entered the 7th with a 5-2 lead, but was unable to hold it, losing
to Allegany-Limestone 9-5. Ronnie Lott had 3 hits including a double, and
Nick Stein stole two bases. Adam Wray pitched 6 solid innings, giving up 2
runs. Portville heads to Gowanda tomorrow.
The Girls JV Softball team beat
All-Limestone last night 32-7. Going five for five at the plate was Laura
Wilhelm. Adding three hits was Alexa Steighner. On the mound for the Junior
Lady Panthers was a combination of Brooke Deyoe, Laura Wilhelm, and Mallory
Welty. Behind the plate was the combo of Mia Hlasnick and Mia Welty.
Great job Ladies. No practice tonight. Game on Friday at home against
Varsity Softball Team improved its record to 4-1 (1-1) defeating the Gators
of Allegany-Limestone 10-3 last night in CCAA Div. 1 East play. Syd Colligan
picked up the win on the mound tossing 3 strikeouts, 3 walks, and scattering
6 hits. The Gators jumped out to and early 3-0 lead in the top of the first.
Portville was able to tack 1 on in bottom of the inning to make it 3-1 after
one. After scoring 4 runs in the second Portville would lead the Gators 5-3
and not look back. Leading the offensive attack for Portville was Bryn Milne
who went 2-4 with 2 singles and 1 run scored. Jill Hlasnick added a double, 2
runs scored, and an RBI. Piper Slocum chipped in a single, and RBI, and 1 run
scored. Both Karly Welty and Kara Howard went 1-3 at the plate. Welty would
add a single, a run, and a stolen base, while Howard contributed a double, a
run scored, and an RBI. Also of note Jess Munson scored two runs to help the
Panthers cause. Next Portville will travel across the border to PA to face
the Lady Terrors of Otto-Eldred today. Game time is 4:30pm. GO PANTHERS!
