The Portville Boys Varsity Basketball lost a hard fought game at the hands of the Panama Panthers last night 63-71 in the Panther Pitt. Portville came out lethargic in the first quarter and was outscored 16-13 by Panama but a good effort in the third would allow Portville to take a 3 point lead into the locker room at the half. Panama would out score the Panthers in the third and that would decide the contest. Portville had four scorers in double figures as Dalton Tobola had 10 points, Caden Keim had 16, Brandon Murray had 16, and Jonah Watson added 14 on his senior night. Watson also lead all rebounders with 8 and chipped in 3 assists and 1 steal. Portville Basketball would like to thank Jonah for all of his hard work and dedication to the program. He has always represented the program with pride on and off the court and his presence will be missed. Thank you Jonah and best of luck in your future endeavors. Portville now approaches the post season portion of its schedule. It looks like we will travel for our first round playoff game on next TUESDAY. Please watch portvilleboysbasketball.club or follow portville boys basketball on facebook or twitter for official game times and location. Even though we are on break please come out and support your PORTVILLE PANTHERS as they enter the post season. GO PANTHERS!!!
